“We will change this world for our students!” — Becky Pringle, NEA President

The president of National Education Association (NEA)–the nation’s largest union with more than 3 million members–is being criticized on Twitter for her ‘Hitlerian performance’ in a recent speech given at a conference in Orlando, Florida.

In early July, NEA President Becky Pringle gave a fiery political speech (in full below) to the more than 6,000 attendees who were gathered at the NEA’s Representative Assembly, the union’s largest governing body.

“We, who believe in freedom cannot rest,” Pringle began, before telling the story of Ella Baker and how Baker’s grandmother’s story of being born into slavery was her inspiration to fight for racial and social justice.

Pringle then went on to use the political climate in Florida as a prelude to more fiery rhetoric.

“We have come here to Florida,” Pringle stated, “our nation’s ground zero for shameful racist, homophobic, misogynistic, xenophobic rhetoric and dangerous actions!”

“We have come here because our children are here!” Pringle exclaimed.

“We have come here because our colleagues are here!” Pringle went on. “We have come to Florida because educators and students and their communities are being attacked by laws that threaten their safety and question their humanity…that block their access to every basic right that defines the word ‘freedom.'”

Pringle then went on to proclaim that the NEA would “fight” for LGBTQ+ students and educators to “stand completely in their authenticity of who they know themselves to be.”

  • Pringle then proclaimed that it is the NEA’s responsibility to fight for reproductive rights and voting rights before excoriating the U.S. Supreme Court and its recent decision to end Affirmative Action for college admissions.

In a Twitter thread, however, Pringle’s speech was criticized as a “Hitlerian performance” by Paul Rossi, a math and philosophy teacher, as well as Vice President of the teaching alliance Terra Firma.

“The closing of Becky Pringle’s latest speech to the NEA was a Hitlerian performance,” Rossi wrote. “This is not a casual comparison.”

Rossi added another clip of Pringle’s speech to his Twitter thread.

Rossi also posted a video of Pringle giving a speech in 2021 (via Zoom), stating: “If you like your megalomania delivered without a podium, go back to the 2021 virtual conference. ‘NEA… I’ve seen it in your eyes…'”

With a link to a 2019 Washington Examiner article entitled ‘The Godfather,’ Rossi also explained that “Saul Alinsky trained NEA staff & his “Rules for Radicals” approach was instrumental to the NEA’s success, as explained by former NEA leader John Lloyd.

Teachers’ unions and their officials–particularly the NEA’s Becky Pringle, as well as the American Federation of Teachers’ (AFT) Randi Weingarten–have taken considerable heat from parents groups over the last several years due to their advocating for school lockdowns during the COVID pandemic, as well as their seeming embrace of “woke” activism.

Oh, my gosh. This woman is deranged. It’s scary to think that she’s teaching our children. it looks like a political rally for extreme left radicals, and that she endorses the indoctrination of children into this radical agenda.
Is she the face of today’s Democrat?
